Yoga came into Gillian's life by chance in 2008. After having her second child in her mid-30s, Gillian decided that she needed to lose the 30kg she put on. She joined a big yoga studio only to discover that she had no idea what she was doing. She signed up for a Teachers' Training course to understand what it was about and thus began her journey to be fit and age gracefully.
Gillian is a 500 hours E-RYT Yoga Alliance Certified yoga instructor specializing in Ashtanga. She's also Reiki certified. She's attended countless workshops and is passionate in learning more to enhance her acknowledge in the field.
Four years ago, she attended a Yogafly class which was followed by a Teachers' Training course in Bangkok, embarking her curiousity further into Swing Yoga where she discovered the need to build more muscular strength and endurance. She started gym training and has attended fitness workshops to further enhance her knowledge.
Concurrent with her gym training, she participates in marathons and Spartan races. She has also recently competed in NABBA Bikini Fitness competition and came in 1st runner up. Along with that, she is also a Level 2 Climber and recently taken up dragon boating. Despite suffering a double fracture on her right neck offemur, she hasn't deterred from her pursuit for yoga, fitness and running and continues to passionately encourage and motivate people around her.
